Wow, you can almost cut the tension at work with a knife. I mean its business as usual here, but people are a lot more somber. I have a store manager trainee verifying claims this morning. He’s actually never done a box verification before. And I’m not used to help to verify on a Monday morning.

This weekend was pretty awesome. Saturday we went and had Crystal’s tattoo touched up. It seriously too longer for the artist to set up his station than it too to redo 3 letters on Crystal’s arm. I didn’t even get the chance to get into the tv show that was on. The inlaws had a party to go to, so we were on our own for dinner. We went over to Chen’s Buffet across from the super Walmart. We ate lots of great food, and even left a little room for desert.

Sunday I was bored, and my back was killing me. Instead of just sitting at home for the day and feeling sorry for myself, I decided that we would go to Roger Williams Park. We drove around and took lots of pictures of the buildings there. It was a really nice afternoon. After walking around, and at one point laying on the ground, my back was feeling tip top. I really think its how I sit at my desk. I love all the old buildings there, Roger Williams Park Museum of Natural History and Planetarium was founded in 1896. There’s lots of cool stuff in there, and you could easily spend a good couple of hours in there. But alas, (earwax) we were hungry, and soon after taking some pictures, we went to find food.

This morning was terrible, I got up and was immediately in pain. I made it over to the desk, and texted my boos, and Robin to let management know I was going to be late, and then I went back to sleep. When I woke up and hour and a half later, I felt much better. All of me just wanted to stay home, and just relax. However, we have a house guest upstairs, and she didn’t let the puppy out of his crate, so from about 6:30 am to when we left at 9, all the puppy did was bark. I don’t think I could have stayed all day with the puppy barking above me.

You know its bad when I’m jotting down notes before 8 am. The boss had the weekend off, and so did I. We had a kid from receiving that was supposed to cover the Saturday. I don’t think he did. (I found out about 7 hours later, he was pulled to do picks in the back room. They don’t seem to care that if OSHA came in, they could fine us, and even shut us down. Claims truly is THAT important.) He didn’t do anything in claims. It looks like a garbage dump exploded in here.

Am I mad? Not in the least. 6 months ago , Yes. I would have been screaming and tossing shit all over the place. I really think its a sign that I truly don’t care any more. If I was out, and my boss was here, she’d be having a shit fit right about now. It would have been dramarific.

All I know is that I’ll be busy today. And that’s the way I like it. (I actually was steady all the way through the day until about 3pm.

Shopping list!

<s>Milk</s>

<s>TP</s>

<s>Cereal</s>

While I do have sleep Apnea, I’m pretty sure I also have a bit of Depression (from my mom), and a touch of SADD. Its raining and dreary out. I could just curl up and sleep all day, get up for supper, and then go right back to bed again. Its been a chore to keep moving at work lately. It’s just one of those months.

It doesn’t help that we ran a really tough 5k yesterday, and my legs are stiff. Its a good hurt. I had a blast running. Always do. But if its not a race, forget about it! I can’t be bothered!

Sorry for the bitching. I really hate to do it. But I just had to get it out.

“The postings on this site are my own and do not necessarily reflect the views of Walmart.”

Another Monday at work.

Can there be anything worse than that?

Course, whilst at work, all I can think of is a million things to do at home. However, if I was at home, would I do them? Probably not.

The List:

Put laundry away.

Move the treadmill downstairs.

Clean the living room.

Clean the bathroom.

Get a rug for the computer nook.

Organise the books.

Organise the computer nook.

Clean the Kitchen.

<s>Load the dishwasher.</s>

Sweep the floor.

Only 109 days till Vegas (baby!). That’s my light at the end of the tunnel. That’s what I am looking forward too. But before that, there’s Inventory (49 days), and Black Friday (101 days). Work is just slogging along. It’s like I’m in foods again. I’m just not being challenged any more. Honestly I do what’s required of me, and not too much after that. Usually I can finish 99% of my work before lunch. Today, I finished before first break at 9am.

Maybe I need something new?

Crystal’s wedding dress.

My wedding gear. i’d like a kilt.

A place that we can renew our vows

A suitcase

A list of the gear Crystal wants to take

Am I going to run the Santa 5k?

If so, what gear do I need?

Peoples phone numbers, so we can get a hold of em in Vegas (baby!)

That’s all I can think of right now. Crystal, if you think of anything else, comment it. Anyone from Crystal’s running forum that stops by here, comment it, and I’ll update the post.

Make my brain stop thinking about something over 100 days away.

Wow, its been a crazy couple of weeks here at Casa McBride. I mean, we’ve actually done things. Real things, not just hop over to Newbury Comics on a Saturday. Even though we did do that a couple of times. They didn’t even ask for my id when I went to pay for something with my credit card, because I’m friends with the Manager there. So, it is true then, I really am a big deal on the internet.

Last night, we went out with some friends to the last of the summer concert series put on by the local alt-rock radio station WBRU to see Ok Go. It was weird actually seeing them play the instruments, because in their video’s they just dance. Also the lead singer, sang some Rob Base during an interview we listened to on the way down. They are a pretty geeky band. I guess where we sat was the “teen section”, We had a very angry and very loud oriental girl sitting next to us. If there was someone standing somewhere infront of us she would yell at them to sit down. Once Ok Go hit the stage, everyone stood up, and that must have pissed her off big time because she left to find a better spot not 5 minutes into the first song. Damian did however, sing one song in the middle of the crowd very close to us. That was very cool as you can see in the picture.

They played for about an hour and a half. Some bands have trouble sounding like their albums, but Ok Go didn’t seem to have a problem. It totally sounded like they just put in a cd and took it from there. They even play a song with nothing but bells and the lead singer. It was pretty cool. It was actually my first concert since I moved to the United States. Loved it. Now, for next year we know where we have to go and sit so we can *actually* see the band as they perform. But it didn’t matter to me that we couldn’t see them. We could hear them, and I was in good company with Crystal. I kept trying to get her to help me “beat down the beat” and go creeping afterwards, but she didn’t want to do that. After the show, we told our friends that we had to go, so we drove out of Providence with little problems, and bee lined it to Denny’s for a quick supper, and then home to bed.

We had to get up slightly early.

We had to be home because in the am Ma’s new antique bed was arriving. I was told they were loading on the truck at ten, and hopefully by eleven thirty or so, it would be at the house. I think it got here around 12:30. In fact we actually watched the delivery truck drive past us. When they finally got here, we unloaded a dresser, a wardrobe, bed frame and a vanity. I have no idea how old it is, but it looks great. After that was in place, Crystal and I grabbed some Dangelo’s while Ma went to pick up the dogs from the groomer.

After that, we were on our way to Liquid Design Tattoo. Ma Went first as hers was bigger than mine or Crystal’s. No lemmie tell you, I’m used to going first because I’ve always had the bigger one. I’m not a patient guy, so waiting just about 3 hours was killing me! Their apprentice was a real go getter. instead of getting the Val’s (the tatooist’s) station ready, he only did it part way, so as I was in the chair, she was still setting up. She shook her head more than I did at this kid. Let me just tell you that Val was great. Efficient, professional, and just pretty awesome. She did a great job on my quote from Buckaroo Bonzai

We’re definitely be going back to her and the rest of the artists there.

Now, maybe some tv, then bed. Crystal has to work in the morning for a few hours. I’m gonna be in house-husband mode I think.

This will just be a quick post. i’ve either been working, or sleeping. Its been a long week, and you know how it goes, when your boss is away. its taken me almost 6 weeks to get into the right groove. All it took was me working 1 Saturday, and this week has been pretty easy. The boss comes back Monday. A Monday that I didn’t work on the Saturday. We’ll see what claims looks like when she gets in. Should be interesting.

I’m trying to get something going for tonight. I don’t know if it will come to fruitition, but hopefully we’ll be doing something. I had a blast when we went to Longshots a couple of Fridays ago to watch Karaoke. It was a cheap night too. Drank all night, and even had some Buffalo strips for less than $40. That’s pretty good in my books.

I’m thinking of running a 5k, by myself, while in Vegas. Should be interesting if I do. Its the Santa Claus Charity run. Crystal says, if I do it, I’ll have a huge cheering section. Everyone runs in a Santa costume. Should be a fun run, as its in Vegas in December, so it’ll be around 50-60 degrees. Perfect running conditions if you ask me. Besides, it should only take me about 45 minutes to complete it.

I’ve been posting a lot of pictures on my new tumblr account. (Course since I’m now talking about it, tumblr is down right now. heh, irony I guess.) Check it out if you want to. I think its pretty cool. I post pictures and some pretty geeky movie quotes. Plus with my attention span being about 5 minutes, it really does do the trick for me. I will try and find a plug in, so I can port the pictures over to here, so this place doesn’t look too much like a ghost town. I’ll talk to my webmistress about that.

Oh and reading the “hipster” handbook, it is longer cool to say “cool”, the term is now “deck”.

Its hot here. Ass fuck hot. I’m really tired of the heat. You can’t get up to do anything, because its like 90 degrees out. I got up at 8 am this morning, and it was already 82. I cannot wait until its fall again.

2 weeks with the new phone, and I’m still in love with it. The keyboard takes some getting used to, but I think I am getting pretty good at it. Its just the auto complete that’s really kicking my ass. It is rather funny though, to see what the auto complete thinks you want to say.

Attempting to see the BlackBerrys on Craigslist. We’ll see how that goes in a few days. It didn’t go too well when Crystal tried to sell her wedding dress on it last month. Hopefully electronics go a little better.

From what I’m told, we’re preparing for a yard sale at the casa next Saturday. So we’re going through different hiding places around the house, looking for treasures to sell. I’m thinking of selling my surround sound system, as I really never use it, even after I promised Crystal I would use it more.

Watched The Lovely Bones last night. What a crock of shit! I think I would rather watch My Boss’s Daughter again than watch that shite movie again. I spent 3/4 of the movie, playing Air Control on my phone.

There you have it. Now, i’m eating cold KFC. Yup, lazy Sunday indeed.

Yes the post of laziness is coming your way fast than you thing. I might even pepper in some race photo’s at the end.

Ran a 10k road race on the 4th. It was my first one. The first 3 miles were pretty much awesome. Then the wall of humidity hit us in the face. Our time was 1:32:43. It of course, was a personal record for us. I think we could have been a little fast, if the humidity wasn’t there.

We also upgraded our phones from the BlackBerry’s we bought off the internet. Crystal’s trackball was slowly dying, and mine was starting to randomly reboot itself in my pouch. We got a couple of smart phones. HTC Hero’s. They are Android OS smart phones. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to regular “smart phones” again.

Rhode Island has been suffering from a heat wave the last week or so. Last Tuesday it was 102 degrees, which prompted Robin to go out and buy a couple of air conditioners. Today is actually the first day that its been cooler out.

In fact, today when Crystal gets home from work, We’re gonna try and go for a bike ride. I got water in the fridge and freezer, and my back pack is ready to go.

In the past two days, I have done three loads of laundry. I think its all done now.

I’ve also been cleaning a bit. I’ve tried to organise the kitchen and all I really have to do in there now is load the dishwasher, and clean the counter off. I’ve also cleaned up the computer nook, and moved all the shoes into the bedroom. We just have too many shoes to take them off in the nook.

Course with my “Organising”, we have a big pile of clothes on the bed, but I think I can ask Crystal to help me fold them, and find homes for them.

That’s it for the bullet post. I don’t think I have too much to say any more. I did manage to find some pictures of me in the road race, so I’ll post one or two here. For your viewing pleasure.

I had a blast running. I only hope next year, there’s a little less humidity. I’m very proud of Crystal too, who finished at the same time as me! Exact same time. She tried to put on the speed, and get there before me, but I couldn’t let that happen. She tries this every race we’re in. She is made of pure sauce of awesome, lemmie tell ya.

*insert “when I was young” shit here* blah blah brad’s dorm, feeling of community, the time we crashed Livejournal to see if I could get over 600 comments to a post. The time Crystal and I invited Brad to our wedding. Blah blah blah.

Wow. 10. Years.

What the hell happened to you, livejournal?

This is how lazy I am. I could have just posted it to Livejournal, but decided half way through just to post it to my site, and it would automagically appear on Livejournal.

So heres to another 10 years of my posts automagically appearing there.

Livejournal, how I love you, even though you pale in what you used to be. Course, least you’re not myspace. Close, but not really. Like a tranny.

I think this will just be a short post. I’m outside trying to enjoy the last couple minutes of my lunch, but its hard. Its like 90 degrees out with 56% humidity out. Its like inhaling soup. All in all, its been a pretty standard day at work. Receive at 5am, and at 7am, I’m behind the 8ball in claims. I’m still trying to dig out. Doesn’t bother me though, because I’ll be busy the whole day. – love the 5-2 shift, because I get out nice and early, but I hate getting up at 3:30 am.

Don’t really have a lot to report, Crystal got herself a bathing suit, and I have to say she looks terrific in it. She’s lost so much weight. I’m so proud of her.

Ok, I have to go in, places are sweating that shouldn’t be sweating. Arrrrgh, when is fall again? Gimmie snow!
